Job Description

The Product Manager provides leadership and direction to all cook room personnel. He or she will assist in supervising and directing the work activities and resources necessary to meet production schedules while maximizing productivity, maintaining quality and minimizing cost. This person will ensure that all safety and GMP practices are followed to the company's requirements. Key responsibilities & duties: Lead cook room associates in the attainment of established production goals and objectives. Assist in executing the workload and production schedule to optimize resources and meet scheduled production goals Responsible for overall safety. Continually improving and promoting safe practices, addressing both employee and food safety. Manage production activities to ensure compliance for accuracy, quality and timelines. Minimize manufacturing cost though effective utilization of labor, equipment and materials. Assist in developing and implementing action plans to address production performance concerns. Maintain communication with departments to ensure production priorities and shortfalls are addressed in a timely matter. Maximize quality and productivity by evaluating performance issues in order to identify cause and institute corrective actions for improvements. Provide guidance and training on safety, GMP, sanitation, quality, and maintenance in accordance with company's policies. Ensure compliance with food safety protocols. Complete all projects and requests deemed necessary by management. Work experience & skills: 2+ years experience, ideally in the food industry preferably in a supervisory position Excellent communication and strong leadership and problem solving skills Computer literate Knowledge of food manufacturing processes, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
