A Brief Summary of This Position:
The Senior Technical Product Manager - Salesforce is a specialty occupation role requiring advanced, specialized knowledge of computer science, information systems, and enterprise software applications. This role combines technical product ownership, Salesforce platform expertise, and enterprise system integration leadership to deliver scalable, business-critical digital solutions. Reporting to the Senior Director, Digital Products, this position is responsible for the design, configuration, integration, and delivery of integrated business systems across CRM, ERP, and eCommerce platforms, including Salesforce Sales Cloud, Salesforce Service Cloud, and ERP systems such as QAD. The role supports complex, end-to-end business processes including product configuration, pricing, quoting, order management, and fulfillment, while ensuring platform scalability, data integrity, and alignment with enterprise architecture and governance standards.
Essential Functions:
Product Leadership & Strategy
  • Own and execute the Salesforce product roadmap, ensuring alignment with business objectives, technical architecture, and user needs.
  • Translate business goals and stakeholder requirements into scalable Salesforce platform features and enhancements.
  • Conduct product discovery, business process analysis, and stakeholder engagement to inform prioritization and delivery.
  • Monitor product performance, adoption metrics, and feedback to drive continuous improvement. Salesforce Platform Ownership
  • Administer, configure, and customize Salesforce Sales Cloud and Salesforce Service Cloud.
  • Design and manage Salesforce data models, automation, workflows, and security configurations.
  • Ensure adherence to platform best practices, internal controls, and data governance standards.
  • Maintain comprehensive product and system documentation, including functional specifications, technical designs, and release notes. System Integration & Technical Execution
  • Lead the design and implementation of integrations between Salesforce, ERP (including QAD), and eCommerce systems.
  • Define and document system requirements, data flows, interface specifications, and integration architectures.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering and integration teams to deliver API-based, middleware, and data integration solutions.
  • Ensure accurate, reliable, and consistent data flow across CRM, ERP, and downstream operational systems.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve system issues across integrated platforms. Agile Delivery & Backlog Management
  • Manage and prioritize the product backlog, balancing business value, technical feasibility, and delivery capacity.
  • Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications, including epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, backlog grooming, demos, and release coordination.
  • Support predictable delivery through disciplined Agile and product management practices. Collaboration & Leadership
  • Lead and mentor direct reports and cross-functional contributors, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
  • Partner with Engineering, IT, UX/UI, Sales, Finance, and Operations teams to deliver compliant, user-focused Salesforce solutions.
  • Serve as a key product and technical liaison across business and technology stakeholders.
Required Qualifications of Every Candidate:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 10+ years of experience in software product development, technical product management, or enterprise systems ownership.
  • Demonstrated experience with Salesforce Sales Cloud and Service Cloud.
  • Experience integrating Salesforce with ERP platforms (e.g., QAD) and enterprise applications.
  • Strong working knowledge of APIs, system integrations, enterprise application architecture, and data management.
  • Experience working in Agile product development environments.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Highly Qualified Candidates Will Also Possess These Qualifications:
  • Experience supporting enterprise CRM, eCommerce, or order-to-cash systems.
  • Exposure to manufacturing, pricing, quoting, order management, and fulfillment processes.
  • Familiarity with integration tools such as MuleSoft, Boomi, or similar middleware platforms.
  • Understanding of UX principles and user-centered design in enterprise applications.
  • Experience working with cloud-based enterprise platforms.
Working Environment and Physical Efforts:
Work is typically performed in an office setting. The incumbent is regularly required to sit for extended periods of time, as well as talk and listen on the phone and in personal conversations or meetings. Environment is fast paced and demanding most of the time. Travel requirement up to 20% for this position. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms while working in the office with various files and forms and while working on the computer. The employee is occasionally required to move about the office. Incumbent must utilize proper ergonomic safeguards such as monitor height and positions, keyboard location and height and proper wrists rests. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds in working with large files, binders, and computer equipment. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
