Contract Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Product Owner, Functional Consultant, or Business Product Analyst with strong Capital Markets expertise to support a high-impact financial services initiative. This role will serve as the bridge between business stakeholders and technology teams, driving requirements gathering, product execution, workflow validation, and solution delivery. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of Equities, Derivatives, Trading Platforms, Investment Banking Operations, and Capital Markets workflows , combined with excellent product ownership and business analysis capabilities. Key Responsibilities 1. Product Ownership & Business Analysis Gather, analyze, and document business requirements from stakeholders Translate business requirements into: Functional specifications User stories Acceptance criteria Support product lifecycle activities including: Prioritization Backlog management Validation Implementation support Participate in solution design discussions and recommend process improvements Drive requirement clarification between business and technology teams 2. Capital Markets Domain Support Work closely with stakeholders on business processes related to: Equities Derivatives Options Futures Swaps Prime Brokerage Institutional Trading Understand and validate: Trade lifecycle workflows Investment banking processes Brokerage operations Capital markets products Ensure solutions align with business and regulatory requirements 3. Stakeholder Management Act as the liaison between: Business users Product teams Development teams QA teams

Facilitate:

Workshops Requirement gathering sessions Sprint discussions Status meetings Communicate risks, dependencies, and project updates effectively 4.

Testing & Business Validation Support:

User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Business validation activities Review test scenarios and test cases for requirement coverage Validate delivered functionality against expected business outcomes Assist in issue triage and defect resolution 5. Product Delivery & Agile Execution Support roadmap planning and product execution activities Collaborate with engineering teams throughout development cycles Ensure product features align with business goals and stakeholder expectations Participate in Agile ceremonies including: Sprint Planning Backlog Grooming Reviews Retrospectives Required Qualifications Experience 4+ years of experience in one or more of the following: Product Owner Functional Consultant Business Analyst Product Analyst Capital Markets Consultant Financial Systems Consultant Capital Markets Domain Expertise (Must Have) Strong experience in one or more of the following: Capital Markets Equities Trading Derivatives Trading Trading Platforms Investment Banking Brokerage Operations Asset & Wealth Management Institutional Trading Operations Financial Products & Trade Lifecycle Management Functional Skills Hands-on experience with: Requirements Gathering User Story Creation Product Ownership Workflow Analysis Stakeholder Management Functional Documentation UAT Coordination Agile Methodologies Tools & Technologies Experience with: Jira Confluence Agile/Scrum Frameworks SQL (preferred) Financial Technology Platforms Preferred Qualifications Experience with: AI-enabled business workflows Process automation initiatives Trading systems and platforms Investment banking products QA/Test automation processes Familiarity with modern financial technology ecosystems
