Job Summary:
The Product & Technical Manager serves as the bridge between supplier product knowledge and the sales team, ensuring accurate, timely, and strategic product information is transferred across the organization. This role is responsible for guiding customer needs toward the correct product solutions, facilitating product training and rollouts, maintaining up-to-date product records and documentation, and providing technical sales support, including on-site visits when required. This position is local to the Greater Las Vegas, NV / Phoenix, AZ area. Relocation assistance is not available at this time.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Knowledge & Supplier Liaison Act as the primary point of contact for supplier product information and updates. Translate technical product details into actionable insights for the sales team. Maintain strong relationships with suppliers to stay informed on product changes, innovations, and availability. Sales Enablement Equip the sales team with accurate product knowledge, positioning, and use cases. Develop and deliver training materials, cheat sheets, and product guides. Provide technical sales support, including on-site customer visits for application-specific needs when required. Support sales efforts by advising on product selection based on customer needs and technical requirements. Customer Needs Alignment Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to understand customer challenges and recommend appropriate product solutions. Provide technical support during pre-sales conversations when needed. Gather feedback from customers and sales to inform product strategy and supplier communication. Product Training & Rollout Plan and execute training sessions for new product launches. Coordinate internal rollouts, ensuring all relevant teams are informed and equipped. Monitor adoption and effectiveness of new products in the field. Documentation & Record Management Maintain accurate and current product documentation, specifications, and pricing. Ensure product databases and internal systems reflect the latest information. Archive obsolete product data and manage version control. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in engineering, Materials Science, or related technical field (or equivalent experience). 5+ years in product management, technical sales support, and supplier relations preferably in composites or advanced materials. Familiarity with aerospace and defense specifications and supply chain requirements. Proficiency in CRM and product management tools. Strong understanding of technical products and ability to translate complex information. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and documentation skills. Willingness to travel to customer sites, supplier sites and industry events (up to 50%).
