Job Description:
Senior Manager, Product Development & Production We are seeking an experienced and highly strategic senior-level Product Development Manager to lead the end-to-end product development process from initial design concept through final production delivery at a growing luxury bridal brand. This role will drive the development process from initial design concept through final production delivery. Key Responsibilities Responsibilities Own and manage the full product development lifecycle from concept through production Create and maintain seasonal development and production calendars a Partner closely with Design to manage material selection, lead times, and MOQ requirements Negotiate costs and terms with suppliers and factories while maintaining quality standards Manage orders and deliveries for raw materials and embroidery Develop and manage development and production budgets Own and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs), ensuring all style details are accurate and up to date for costing Track WIP, costing, and sample development within internal systems Oversee proto, SMS, and production fittings, ensuring updates are accurately captured and communicated Work directly and daily with factories, patternmakers, designers, and local NYC factories to ensure timely and accurate sample execution Proactively manage risks to timelines and resolve development or production challenges Implement process improvements to drive efficiency across development and production Mentor and guide junior team members as needed Own the quality control process, manage qc issues and resolutions in timely manner Qualifications 6+ years of experience in product development and production within luxury apparel, bridal, or eveningwear Understanding of garment construction, costing, and domestic manufacturing Proficiency in PLM systems Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple timelines Strong cross-functional communication skills and the ability to partner effectively with creative and commercial teams The salary for this New York-based role will be between USD$80,000 and USD$120,000 based on industry experience.
