Job Description

Marketing Cloud Developer in the USA or Canada The Marketing Cloud Developer is responsible for development and providing technical guidance for Salesforce Marketing Cloud implementation projects. Successful candidates will be Marketing Cloud Development experts ready to design innovative digital solutions for nonprofit or higher education clients. The objectives of the Marketing Cloud Developer are to provide excellent service and value to clients through Salesforce implementation projects as a expert technical resource.

Responsibilities Develop custom Marketing Cloud solutions, leveraging HTML, CSS, Javascript, and AMPScript Work with clients and project teams to anticipate/identify project risks, resolve issues, and achieve client satisfaction Gather feedback from clients and identify best practices and lessons learned from client projects to improve and refine Cloud for Good's service delivery approach Serve as a digital thought leader for the nonprofit or higher education vertical Maintain up-to-date, accurate knowledge of Marketing Cloud Provide technical mentoring and coaching to junior consultants Create technical documentation Proactively identify areas of need for internal projects and work collaboratively with teammates to deliver internal project milestones Assess client business requirements to design custom Marketing Cloud solutions Build, test, and deploy declarative and/or technical solutions to meet client requirements when necessary Serve as senior Digital Services team member on multi-cloud projects providing overall technical guidance for Marketing Cloud to core team members and to junior Digital Services team members Optimize non-billable time to contribute to Cloud for Good Sales, Marketing, or Services delivery accelerators and other product offerings Implement solutions across multiple Clouds and conduct proactive QA on team's solutions Act as a role model for Cloud for Good's culture and values Serve as an expert in Cloud for Good methodology and business process Provide feedback to Cloud for Good leadership on how the company can improve Perpetually contribute to the betterment of Cloud for Good Qualifications and Education Requirements Marketing Cloud Consultant certification (Marketing Cloud Developer certification preferred) Expert-level Marketing Cloud configuration knowledge Expert-level skills/knowledge in multiple functional, declarative, or technical areas, and is also comfortable across other areas of Salesforce Understanding of Marketing Cloud APIs and other custom development capabilities Understanding of AMPScript and SSJS, and ability to develop within emails and CloudPages HTML, CSS, and Javascript skills Expert in SQL and relational database design Expert in integrating external systems with Marketing Cloud Experience working with nonprofits or higher education institutions 2+ years of experience in client services and/or consulting services 3+ years of experience in Marketing Cloud implementations or services engagements in a consultative model Experience in agile delivery methodology Demonstrated experience developing and implementing Marketing Cloud best practices Committed to customer satisfaction Strong consulting skills, including project and time management, communication, and teamwork/collaboration Demonstrated success in designing and configuring complex solutions both within Marketing Cloud and cross cloud. Proven track record of continuously improving organizations Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent education/experience required Preferred Skills Experience with Marketing Cloud Personalization/Data Cloud SDK Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong, proactive leadership skills Self-starter Advanced time management skills to work in an environment without direct supervision or structure Intellectual curiosity Passion for continuous learning Experience with presenting solutions to technical and functional end users and stakeholders Experience with LucidChart or other workflow/solution design tools Working Successfully at CFG Cloud for Good is a client-service organization, and as a member of our fully remote team, there are a few non-negotiables that enable collaboration, professionalism, and exceptional client outcomes. Travel Requirements All roles at Cloud for Good include a travel component. Business travel—both domestic and international—may be required based on project and client needs. The amount of travel will vary by role but is generally expected to be up to 20% annually. Travel is considered an essential part of this position and supports effective client engagement, collaboration, and company representation. Work Environment Cloud for Good is a fully remote company. Team members are expected to maintain a professional, distraction-free workspace that is camera-ready for video meetings. Collaboration takes place across Zoom, Office 365, Salesforce, and Slack during standard business hours (9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. in your local time zone). Client Time Zone Alignment As a team member, you may be required to adjust your work hours to align with your key client's time zone to support effective communication, collaboration, and project delivery. Flexibility and coordination with your Project Lead (Services) will help ensure success in this client-facing role.
