The Next Generation Hardware Supply Chain Platform Manager serves as the primary operations interface to key internal partners including Product Management, Engineering, Regulatory, and Customer Care. This role owns the operational strategy and execution across the full product lifecycle, ensuring seamless transition from early development through launch, scale, and sustained production. This position is part of the Instrument Operations Platform and Planning team located in Sunnyvale, CA and will be an on-site role. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: Own and manage the end-to-end operational lifecycle of next generation hardware platforms — from concept and development through pilot builds, commercialization, volume production, and post-launch optimization Lead the Instrument Operations sub-teams and serve as Operations Project Lead on cross-functional core teams Define and execute the operations development roadmap including executive-level communication of progress, risks, and mitigation plans. Own the functional checklists by project stage. Drive product transitions from development to pilot production to high-volume manufacturing, ensuring readiness across supply chain, quality, and manufacturing functions. In addition, define and execute service hardware strategy, including field replaceable units and refurbishment approaches Lead total cost of goods analysis and reporting, including make vs. buy decisions and cost alignment to product requirements and business targets. The essential requirements of the job include Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or related discipline (MBA preferred) 5+ years of experience in technical program management, operations, supply chain, or product development within electro-mechanical products or similarly complex industries Proven experience leading cross-functional teams through new product development and launch Strong communication, executive presentation, and stakeholder alignment skills Demonstrated success creating, documenting, and standardizing operational processes It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in: Agile, SAP, The Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Power Point, Word) and PowerBI Ability to read and interpret product Bill of Materials (BOM's) Cepheid, a Danaher operating company, offers a broad array of comprehensive, competitive benefit programs that add value to our lives. The annual salary range for this role is $180-210K. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
