Job Description
Experteer Overview In this role you will shape USAA's Umbrella product strategy and design, monitoring performance and identifying opportunities for innovation. You'll influence the product roadmap within the Umbrella team and collaborate across functions to deliver new and enhanced features. You drive market and data-driven decisions to improve coverage and member value, balancing compliance, risk, and strategic goals. This role offers remote work with some travel and a strong impact on the USAA member experience.
Compensation / Benefits
- Develop and communicate value propositions for product enhancements and new features
- Support ideation, launch decisions, and buy/build/partner choices for new offerings
- Monitor underwriting performance and product trends to inform strategy
- Analyze internal/external data and member information to support competitive intelligence
- Maintain knowledge of product rules, rates, and forms for in-market products
- Coordinate with Leal, Compliance, and Risk Management to ensure regulatory compliance
- Guide Sales/Member Contact teams on education and use of sales guides for new products
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enable delivery of digital-first products
- Support ongoing monitoring and maintenance of the product pipeline
- Advise on best practices for product design, risk assessment, and innovation Tasks
- Bachelor's in Business (or related) or 4 years of related experience in lieu of degree
- Minimum 6 years of experience in Product, Actuary, Underwriting, Marketing, Operations or equivalent
- Minimum 4 years of experience in Property & Casualty insurance
- Experience researching, analyzing data, and identifying trends for product decisions
- Strong knowledge of umbrella insurance products and P&C insurance domain
- Advanced SQL skills for data extraction and analysis
- Experience with Snowflake or similar cloud data warehousing platforms
- Cross-functional collaboration experience between business and IT teams
- Military affiliation or experience is valued
- Strong data analysis and visualization capabilities
