Job Description

Piper Companies is seeking a Product Manager to support a growing client in the insurance technology industry in the Durham, NC area. The Product Manager role requires you to work in a hybrid capacity with 3 days onsite per week. The Product Manager will play a critical role in driving enhancements across policy administration platforms and back-end systems, with a strong emphasis on data-driven decision making and SQL proficiency. Responsibilities of the Product Manager include:
  • Own the product roadmap for policy administration and associated back-end applications, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Gather and translate stakeholder needs into clear product requirements and technical specifications.
  • Partner closely with engineering and data teams to deliver scalable system improvements and integrations.
  • Leverage SQL to analyze system data, identify trends, and support product decisions.
  • Guide product lifecycle activities including prioritization, release planning, and performance evaluation. Requirements of the Product Manager include:
  • 4+ years of experience in product management with exposure to back-end systems or enterprise platforms.
  • Hands-on experience working with policy administration systems, preferably within the insurance industry.
  • Strong SQL skills with the ability to query and interpret complex datasets.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts clearly.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and product management tools (Jira, Confluence, etc.). Compensation for the Product Manager include:
  • $110,000 - $130,000 annually
