About Gel Press Gel Press sits at the intersection of material science and artistic expression. Our gel printing plates and tools enable artists to explore monoprinting in intuitive, tactile, and innovative ways. We serve a growing global community of fine artists, hobbyists, educators, and makers who value experimentation and creativity. About You Product-First Thinker You see products as systems to be built, improved, and evolved. You are comfortable owning the full product lifecycle from concept through launch and iteration. Artist & Customer Insight Driven You are naturally curious about how artists create. You spend time understanding workflows, techniques, pain points, and unmet needs across fine art, craft, and education segments. Product Marketer You know how to translate features into meaningful benefits. You can clearly articulate why a product matters to an artist and how it fits into their creative process. Research-Oriented You actively conduct market, competitive, and user research to guide decisions. You are comfortable gathering both qualitative insight (artist interviews, studio visits, workshops) and quantitative data. Builder & Collaborator You work cross-functionally with R&D, operations, sales, and marketing to bring products to life and ensure successful launches. Creative Industry Aware You understand or are excited to learn the nuances of the art supply market, including independent retailers, art educators, workshops, and creative communities. What You Will Be Doing Product Management (50%)
  • Own the product lifecycle from concept through launch and post-launch optimization
  • Define product requirements, features, and improvements based on user needs and business goals
  • Work closely with development and operations to bring new products and enhancements to market
  • Manage product roadmap and prioritize initiatives based on impact Product & Market Research (25%)
  • Conduct hands-on research with artists, educators, and creators to understand how products are used
  • Analyze competitive products, materials, and positioning within the art supply space
  • Identify gaps in the market and opportunities for innovation (new formats, tools, accessories, kits)
  • Stay current on trends in printmaking, mixed media, and creative techniques Product Marketing (25%)
  • Develop product positioning and messaging grounded in real artist use cases
  • Partner with marketing to create content that demonstrates techniques, use cases, and outcomes
  • Support product launches with clear storytelling, education, and artist-driven content
  • Equip sales and retail partners with product knowledge and educational materials Qualifications
  • 3-6 years of experience in product management, product development, or product marketing
  • Experience in medical devices, healthcare products, or consumer goods preferred
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Ability to gather and interpret customer and market insights
  • Strong communication skills with attention to detail
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Life Sciences, or related field

$70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
