HVAC Tools Location:

Reports To:
VP of Product Position Overview We are seeking a highly capable and market-driven Digital Product Manager to lead the development and expansion of digital tools, connected equipment, and service applications within the HVAC service and maintenance industry. This role will focus on improving current digital products while driving innovation for next-generation smart tools, connected service equipment, mobile applications, diagnostics platforms, and technician workflow solutions. The ideal candidate brings a combination of HVAC service industry knowledge, digital product management expertise, and cross-functional leadership to bridge field technician needs with hardware, firmware, software, cloud platforms, and connected workflows. This is a high-impact opportunity to shape a growing digital ecosystem focused on improving technician productivity, diagnostics capability, workflow efficiency, and customer experience across residential, refrigeration, light commercial, and commercial HVAC markets. Key Responsibilities Digital Product Strategy & Development Lead product strategy and roadmap development for digital HVAC service and maintenance solutions Drive commercialization of next-generation smart HVAC tools and connected equipment Define product requirements, positioning, feature prioritization, and lifecycle strategies Identify market opportunities tied to refrigerant transitions, workflow digitization, and technician shortages Collaborate with engineering, firmware, software, and UX/UI teams to improve product functionality and user experience HVAC Service Application & Ecosystem Development Lead development and enhancement of mobile applications, cloud connectivity, diagnostics platforms, and connected workflow solutions Expand digital ecosystem capabilities supporting diagnostics, evacuation, charging, reporting, and technician productivity Develop strategies integrating smart tools, service applications, cloud systems, and third-party platforms Support scalable architecture for future AI-enabled diagnostics and predictive maintenance capabilities Improve interoperability and data integration across connected products Innovation & Technician Workflow Solutions Translate technician pain points and VOC feedback into actionable product innovations Lead field testing, beta validation, and customer trials with contractors and distributors Explore emerging technologies including IoT, AI-assisted diagnostics, wireless communication, and cloud analytics Identify opportunities to simplify technician workflows and improve jobsite efficiency through automation and digital tools Support development of next-generation connected HVAC maintenance platforms Cross-Functional Product Leadership Coordinate collaboration across hardware, firmware, software, QA, manufacturing, technical support, sales, and marketing teams Manage product development timelines, milestone tracking, validation, and launch readiness Align customer requirements with technical execution and commercialization goals Support strategic partnerships with software providers and technology collaborators Participate in trade shows, customer visits, distributor meetings, and VOC activities to gather market intelligence Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Product Management, Marketing, or related technical field 2+ years of experience in digital product management, IoT solutions, connected equipment, smart tools, or technical program management Experience managing development programs involving hardware, firmware, mobile applications, and cloud-connected systems Strong understanding of connected products, mobile applications, wireless communication, and digital ecosystems Proven ability to lead cross-functional technical programs from concept through commercialization Strong communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills Preferred Experience within HVAC service and maintenance, refrigeration, instrumentation, or field service technologies Familiarity with HVAC diagnostics, commissioning, evacuation, charging, and maintenance workflows Experience with connected HVAC tools or technician workflow platforms Understanding of UX/UI design and technician-centered workflow optimization Experience working with overseas engineering and manufacturing teams in China Fluent in Chinese 5+ years of experience in digital product management or connected technologies MBA or advanced technical degree Key Competencies Digital product strategy & lifecycle management Smart tools and connected equipment development HVAC technician workflow optimization Product innovation and commercialization Cross-functional technical leadership Customer-centric problem solving Agile program execution Strategic thinking with operational discipline Entrepreneurial, hands-on mindset Strong market research and product marketing capability Why Join Us This role offers the opportunity to help shape the future of connected HVAC service technology by building innovative digital solutions that improve field performance, diagnostics, and technician productivity at scale.
