Job Summary:
The Senior Product Analyst is responsible for driving data-informed decisions across the product portfolio by analyzing market trends, financial performance, and customer insights. This role serves as a key partner to Product Management, Sales, Finance, and Operations to identify growth opportunities, optimize profitability, and strengthen competitive positioning. The position translates complex data into actionable recommendations that influence product strategy, pricing, and portfolio decisions. Responsibilities:
Analyze product performance across revenue, margin, and volume to identify trends, risks, and opportunities Evaluate product portfolio health, including identifying gaps, redundancies, and underperforming segments Support product lifecycle decisions including new product introduction, optimization, and sunset recommendations Apply structured frameworks to assess product attractiveness and competitive positioning Monitor and report on key performance indicators including revenue, margin, and pipeline activity Identify opportunities to improve profitability through pricing, cost optimization, and mix improvements Support development of pricing strategies through data analysis and market insights Build financial models to support business cases and strategic initiatives Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and growth opportunities Analyze competitor products, pricing, and positioning Develop and maintain competitive benchmarking tools and reports Identify adjacent markets and new applications for product expansion Gather and analyze customer feedback, sales input, and market data Translate customer needs into actionable product and business recommendations Support development of value propositions and positioning strategies Build and maintain dashboards and reporting tools to track product and market performance Leverage advanced analytics and AI tools to accelerate insight generation Synthesize large, complex datasets into clear, concise insights for leadership Present findings and recommendations to cross-functional stakeholders Partner with Product Management, Sales, Finance, Marketing, and Operations Support product launches through data analysis and performance tracking Align stakeholders around data-driven recommendations and business priorities Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Data Analytics, or related field 5-8+ years of experience in product analytics, commercial analytics, or related role (preferably in manufacturing or industrial environment) Strong analytical and financial modeling skills Experience working with cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment Proficiency in data tools (Excel, Power BI, Tableau, etc.) Experience with ERP/CRM systems (e.g., IFS, SAP, Salesforce) preferred Strong communication and presentation skills Pay:
