What You'll be Doing We are looking for a hands-on Senior Product Manager to lead key areas of the Hitachi iQ and iQ Studio portfolio to manage our AI infrastructure and platform offerings. This role will drive end-to-end product ownership for critical capabilities across AI data platforms, RAG pipelines, and AI lifecycle management, enabling customers to move from experimentation to production. You will operate as a builder and owner, working closely with engineering, customers, and GTM teams to deliver high-impact AI capabilities. Key Responsibilities 1. Product Ownership & Execution Own specific product areas within Hitachi iQ and iQ Studio (e.g., RAG pipelines, orchestration, AI lifecycle with Agentic AI Translate strategy into clear product requirements, user stories, and deliverables Drive execution from concept → build → launch → adoption 2. Roadmap Delivery Contribute to and execute against the product roadmap Prioritize features based on customer impact, usability, and business value Ensure on-time, high-quality releases in collaboration with engineering 3. AI Platform Capabilities Define and deliver: AI data pipelines (RAG, ingestion, indexing) Data integration across File/Object/Block platforms AI lifecycle workflows (deployment, monitoring, governance) Work closely with engineering on technical design trade-offs 4. Customer & Field Engagement Work directly with customers, field teams, and partners to: Understand real-world AI use cases Validate product direction and features Support POCs, key deals, and customer escalations 5.
Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with:
Engineering for delivery Sales/Marketing for positioning and enablement Alliances (e.g., NVIDIA ecosystem) for integration Ensure alignment across teams for successful product launches 6. Competitive Awareness Track market trends and competitors Contribute to feature differentiation and positioning What You Will Bring to the Team Experience 10+ years in Product Management or related roles Experience in one or more areas: o AI/ML platforms o Data infrastructure (storage, data lakes, distributed systems) o Cloud / Kubernetes-based platforms Technical Skills Strong understanding of: o AI/ML workflows (training, inference, RAG concepts, Agentic AI) o Data architectures (file, object, data pipelines) o APIs, microservices, and cloud-native design Ability to work closely with engineers on technical product decisions Execution & Mindset Strong ownership and bias for action Ability to operate in fast-moving, ambiguous environments Detail-oriented with a focus on delivery and outcomes Success Metrics Delivery of roadmap milestones (on time and quality) Adoption of key AI features and capabilities Customer and field feedback (POCs, wins, usability) Contribution to pipeline and deal success What Success Looks Like (First 6-12 Months) Own and deliver key AI platform capabilities (e.g., RAG, orchestration) Strong partnership with engineering and field teams Tangible contribution to customer wins and AI adoption Why This Role Matters This role is critical to building AI-ready data platforms that enable enterprises to operationalize AI at scale to position Hitachi Vantara as a leader in the AI data infrastructure space. Help shape the platform that turns enterprise data into real AI impact As required by the equal pay and transparency acts, the expected base salary for this position is: $200K to $260K.
Expected on-target earnings:
$234K to $304K The expected pay is determined based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, depth of experience in the practice area. Employees are eligible to participate in Hitachi Vantara's bonus/variable/commission pay programs, where applicable, and are subject to the program's conditions and restrictions. #LI-JT1 About us We're a global team of innovators.
