Digital Product Manager Desired Traits:
Dynamic, Accountable, Returns-Driven, Commercial, Integrity What is a Sr. Digital Product Manager ? The Sr. Digital Product Manager owns the full lifecycle of digital products across SEF Energy and its subsidiaries - from concept and specification through design, launch, and iteration. This role is the connective tissue between business strategy, engineering, and end users, ensuring every digital product ships on time, solves a real problem, and reflects the SEF brand. This is not a coordination role - it requires hands-on product ownership, UX design leadership, and the creative range to take a product from whiteboard to customer-ready in a fast-moving industrial environment. In this role, you will: Own product specification, UX design, and launch coordination for digital products across Downing, OSO Perforating, and SEF Energy - including the Freedom Series (GoFS) launch, product catalogs, field operator training programs, and ecommerce Lead the GoFS Launch product effort: develop sales-enablement assets, customer-facing materials, demo content, and the post-launch iteration roadmap in partnership with Business Development and Sales Deliver the Downing Product Catalog application: define requirements, design the user experience, and oversee build for a customer-facing catalog that enables operator self-service comparable to industry-leading platforms
Drive Freedom Series UI/UX Implementation Support:
serve as designer-in-the-loop during the Engineering build phase, triaging change requests, refining UI components, and maintaining the Downing Software UI Style Guide as a living standard Produce the Freedom Series Independent Training program: build a multi-module, scenario-driven video training curriculum for field operators, from script and storyboard through final delivery Own the OSO Product Catalog application: replace the existing non-functional mobile catalog with a modern customer-facing solution that positions the Colt 45 product line effectively in the market
Conduct Freedom Series Simulator UI/UX Discovery:
lead user research, develop user-tested mockups, and produce a product document ready for engineering handoff Build and operate agentic graphic tooling: serve as designer-in-the-loop on AI-powered design workflows, ensuring brand consistency at scale across all digital product outputs Collaborate cross-functionally with VP of Business Development, VP of Operations, VP of Engineering, and the AI/IT team to define requirements, validate designs, and manage delivery timelines Author clear product specifications, acceptance criteria, and user stories that enable engineering and build partners to execute without ambiguity Produce high-quality creative assets including product documentation, training video content, presentation materials, and design systems Occasional travel to company offices may be required, estimated less than 10% of time (must possess a valid driver's license and meet the company driver requirement to operate a company vehicle while traveling) Perform other duties as assigned
Required and Preferred Experience:
8+ years of progressive experience in digital product management, creative direction, UX design, or a combination of these disciplines Demonstrated ability to own a product end-to-end - from stakeholder requirements and design through acceptance criteria, launch, and post-launch iteration Experience designing and delivering customer-facing digital products: catalogs, portals, web and mobile applications
Work Environment and Physical Requirements:
Office environment of an oil & gas manufacturing and servicing company Occasionally required to stand, sit, use hands to manipulate with fingers, handle or feel, walk, reach with hands and arms Lift, push, pull up to 50 lbs. (SEF Energy employees shall not manually lift an item weighing more than 50 lbs.; utilize mechanical assistance devices or a team lift) Quiet conditions
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Design, Digital Media, Product Management, Marketing, or a related field Master's degree or equivalent advanced education in a relevant discipline is a plus Experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree: 10+ years of progressive creative and product leadership with demonstrated, portfolio-supported results This is a high-level overview of the main job responsibilities; however, it is not meant to be an exhaustive list of duties.
