Job Description

Description Drive profitability improvement and regionalization initiatives that optimize customer experience while delivering measurable business results across Amazon's US retail business. Own product strategy for programs that reduce costs, enable regional selection, and improve overall retail health. Our team takes an end to end view of selection programs to uncover opportunities to optimize profitability and CX. Through regionalization, we are reducing damages and ship costs, enabling net new regional selection, and working with various partner teams to minimize any adverse impacts of regionalization. Through profitability improvement programs, we are optimizing selection health, reducing unhealthy inventory costs, and improving overall profitability across the retail business. This role will own multiple business expansions for both regionalization and profitability optimization initiatives, gaining experience working with operations, technical teams, supply chain, and retail stakeholders. As a Senior PM within Amazon, you have the opportunity to invent new products and features on behalf of customers. You will get to work cross-functionally on driving ideas from conception to execution, developing marketing plans to drive awareness and adoption, segmenting customers and developing business models, defining and analyzing success metrics, and managing strategic projects. Successful candidates will possess excellent analytical skills, be proficient in process optimization, and have knowledge of the retail business metrics and priorities.   • Be a key contributor for our regionalization and profitability improvement workstreams, partnering with cross-functional teams to drive your product vision across both initiatives.
  • Identify business opportunities through data mining and anecdotes.
  • Drive product creation that unlocks business value for regionalization and profitability programs, influencing and working with technology, operations, and business teams and leaders.
  • Own and present PRFAQs and Business Requirement Documents for both regionalization and profitability improvement initiatives and gain stakeholder buy-in.
  • Build tools and communication frameworks that enable retail teams to understand and optimize profitability program performance.
A day in the life You will start your day analyzing performance metrics across regionalization and profitability programs, identifying opportunities where multiple initiatives intersect. You will spend time partnering with retail teams to understand their challenges, working with product and engineering teams to refine product requirements, and presenting business cases to senior leadership. You will balance strategic thinking with tactical execution, moving between data analysis, stakeholder meetings, and product roadmap planning. About the team While our initiatives are not new, our team is. We are challenged to think beyond our individual workstreams to identify where multiple programs may impact selection balancing profitability and CX. Your day will include connecting the dots between programs, thinking of innovative ideas, partnering with other PMs, and building understanding of our programs with retail stakeholders.   • 5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
  • Experience with end to end product delivery
  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
  • Experience as a product manager or owner
  • Experience owning technology products Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in influencing senior leadership through data driven insights
  • Experience working across functional teams and senior stakeholders
  • Usage of generative AI tools to enhance workflow efficiency, with a willingness to learn effective prompting and evaluation practices.
  • Ability to recognize opportunities where generative AI could enhance products, workflows, or customer experiences.

Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
