Job Description
Description The Selling Partner Communities & Empowerment ("Communities") organization builds lasting connections with, and drives the success of, Amazon's Selling Partners (SPs). Our products — including Seller Forums, Seller News, and emerging community platforms — are actively used by millions of Selling Partners worldwide to engage with Amazon and each other. These products also surface critical insights into SP sentiment and emerging issues. Our goal is to make every Selling Partner feel satisfied about selling in Amazon stores. We are seeking a Sr. PM-T who is passionate about applying generative AI to reimagine what's possible. This role sits at the intersection of product strategy and AI innovation — you will use GenAI to experiment rapidly, move fast, and build features and solutions that were previously not possible. From AI-powered community interactions to intelligent moderation and automated insight generation, you will push the boundaries and test new frontiers in delivering great user experiences. You will own and drive the product strategy across our complex suite of community products — both seller-facing experiences and internal tools that power community operations, generate insights, and inform business decisions. This is a high-ambiguity, high-impact role where you will define the vision for one of Amazon's largest online seller communities, align a diverse set of stakeholders, and ship products that meaningfully improve how millions of sellers connect, learn, and succeed. Key job responsibilities
- Apply generative AI and emerging AI capabilities to rapidly prototype, test, and launch novel community experiences — pushing into new frontiers and building what wasn't previously possible
- Experiment relentlessly with AI-powered features — from intelligent content generation and automated moderation to personalized seller experiences — iterating quickly and learning fast
- Assess how agentic AI capabilities are reshaping product architectures and determine when autonomous agent patterns enhance versus complicate product design
- Own the end-to-end product lifecycle for large-scale community products, from working backwards (PR/FAQ, tenets, problem statement) through launch, adoption, measurement, and iteration
- Define product strategy and roadmap across a complex product suite spanning seller-facing community experiences and internal tools for community management, moderation, and insight generation
- Reason from first principles — challenge assumptions, avoid defaulting to past approaches, and build solutions from the core customer need up
- Distinguish between one-way and two-way door decisions; drive rapid experimentation where reversible, and ensure appropriate rigor for irreversible choices
- Drive alignment across a broad and diverse set of stakeholders — including engineering, science, design, finance, policy, trust & safety, and international teams — influencing without authority
- Champion exceptional customer experiences by partnering with design teams, grounding decisions in fundamental design principles — utility, intuitiveness, and simplicity — rather than personal preferences
- Own internal-facing product experiences that enable community managers and business teams to moderate at scale, surface seller sentiment trends, and generate actionable insights
- Translate seller pain points and sentiment data into clear product requirements and technical specifications; partner with engineering teams on architecture decisions, API design, and technical trade-offs
- Participate meaningfully in architecture reviews, probing scalability decisions, performance trade-offs, and technical debt implications; hold engineering teams to high standards for product solutions
- Understand the impact of technical backlog on the future of the product and prioritize operational excellence work alongside feature delivery
- Deeply understand the product's business context — market dynamics, competitive landscape, and profitability drivers — and articulate how product decisions impact business outcomes
- Define success criteria and KPIs that distinguish between output metrics (e.g., adoption, engagement) and outcome metrics (e.g., seller satisfaction, sentiment improvement, business impact)
- Take calculated risks in pursuit of breakthrough results — set ambitious goals, understanding that achieving 70% of a bold vision often creates more value than 100% of an incremental improvement
- Represent the voice of the Selling Partner by leveraging quantitative data (forums analytics, sentiment analysis, NLP-derived insights) and qualitative research (user studies, focus groups), distinguishing representative signal from anecdotal feedback
- Communicate product vision, status, and trade-offs clearly to senior leadership through narratives, QBRs, and decision documents; contribute to OP1/OP2
- Mentor other PMs and PMTs; actively participate in hiring and talent development Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
- Experience managing technical products or online services
- Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in using analytical tools, such as Tableau, Qlikview, QuickSight
- Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools
- Demonstrated experience leveraging generative AI tools to enhance workflow efficiency and productivity, with the ability to craft effective prompts and critically evaluate AI-generated outputs in a professional setting
- Experience identifying opportunities to integrate AI solutions into products and services to drive business value Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.
