American Financing Corporation is seeking a highly execution-focused operator to lead and scale our organic growth efforts across both traditional search and emerging AI-driven discovery platforms. This role sits at the intersection of SEO, content strategy, product, analytics, and AI search optimization. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable rolling up their sleeves to drive execution internally and coordinating external partners or agencies for speed and specialized expertise. You will own the strategy, prioritization, and operational execution needed to increase discoverability, traffic, and conversion across platforms like Google, YouTube, ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Reddit, and other emerging AI-powered ecosystems. This is a high-impact role with strong internal visibility and the opportunity to grow into a broader leadership position over time. WHAT YOU WILL BRING
Experience:
5-10+ years of experience in SEO, organic growth, content strategy, growth marketing, or a related discipline. Technical Fluency:
Deep understanding of modern SEO, technical SEO (schema, indexing, site performance), and the ability to work directly with engineering and product teams. Execution Focus:
Strong operator mentality with a bias toward execution, speed, and measurable outcomes. Comfortable balancing hands-on work with strategic prioritization. Agency Management:
Proven experience managing external agencies or growth partners effectively. Analytical Skills:
Strong problem-solving, project management, and prioritization skills with an analytical approach to experimentation. Experience optimizing for AI answer engines, LLM discoverability, semantic search, retrieval systems, embeddings, or AI-generated content workflows. Strong understanding of YouTube SEO, Reddit discoverability, and community-driven search behavior. Experience scaling organic growth at a high-growth startup or technology company. Proficiency with industry tools such as GA4, Search Console, Ahrefs, Semrush, Screaming Frog, and Looker. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategy & Execution:
Own and execute the company's organic growth and AI search strategy across web, content, and product surfaces. Platform Optimization:
Improve discoverability and performance across Google Search, YouTube, ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Reddit, and other LLM-driven discovery platforms. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Partner closely with Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Content teams to implement technical and content-driven growth initiatives. Technical SEO:
Lead initiatives including site architecture, internal linking, schema markup, crawlability/indexing, Core Web Vitals, page speed, and structured data optimization. Content & Growth:
Develop and optimize scalable content strategies aligned with search intent and AI retrieval patterns; identify high-impact growth opportunities using analytics, experimentation, and user behavior data. Conversion & Analytics:
Drive conversion rate optimization (CRO) initiatives to improve traffic quality and business outcomes. Build reporting frameworks and KPIs that measure visibility, engagement, and conversion across both traditional and AI-native channels. Vendor Management:
Manage and coordinate external agencies, consultants, and specialized partners while maintaining strong internal ownership and speed of execution. Compensation:
