Job Description
Description Robert Half is actively partnering with an Austin-based client to identify an SEO Specialist (contract). In this role, you will own and optimize our organic search visibility across digital channels. This role will lead efforts spanning technical SEO, content strategy, and emerging AI-driven search experiences to drive measurable improvements in traffic, rankings, and conversions. This role is hybrid in Austin, Tx.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Own organic search strategy, including keyword planning and performance tracking + Monitor SERPs, competitors, and algorithm updates to inform optimization efforts + Conduct technical SEO audits and partner with technical teams to resolve issues + Optimize site structure, internal linking, and on-page elements + Lead SEO-driven content strategy, including keyword research and content planning + Analyze performance metrics (traffic, rankings, conversions) and report insights + Support visibility in emerging AI-driven search experiences + Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product, and engineering teams
Requirements Qualifications:
+ 4+ years of hands-on SEO experience with ownership of organic search performance + Proficiency with Google Search Console and SEO tools (e.g., Semrush, Ahrefs, or similar) + Solid understanding of technical SEO fundamentals, including crawlability, indexation, site structure, and schema markup + Experience with keyword research, competitive analysis, and internal linking strategies + Analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights + Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment + Excellent written and verbal communication skills Nice to Have + Experience in e-commerce, marketplaces, or multi-sided platforms + Familiarity with CMS platforms and basic HTML + Exposure to AI-driven search optimization or generative engine optimization (GEO)
