Job Description

Location:
In-office, Phoenix, AZ Type:
Full-time internship Summer - fall semester: 8-12 week internship
Compensation:
$25/hr Kim Komando is one of America's most trusted voices in tech, with a massive national presence across radio, podcasts, email, and digital. Her top-rated talk show airs on 510+ stations and is downloaded by millions. Her mission? To help people make smarter, safer choices in the digital world with clear advice, real talk, and a sense of humor. Through our growing brand ecosystem (a website with millions of monthly visits, daily newsletters reaching hundreds of thousands of subscribers, a national radio show, plus YouTube and podcasts) we're changing how people think about and use technology. Now we're looking for a Business & Media Operations Intern to get hands-on, in-the-room experience running a real multimedia business. About the Role This is a rare chance for an MBA student or recent grad to learn the media business from the inside, not from a case study. You'll work directly with our leadership team on the operational side of a nationally known brand: helping run our hiring process, supporting social media planning, pitching in on content creation, and tackling the day-to-day projects that keep a fast-moving media company humming. If you want to understand how a modern media company actually works (how it hires, how it grows an audience, how content gets made and measured) this is the seat to be in.
What You'll Do:
Support our hiring initiative: help track applicants, coordinate scheduling, organize candidate information, and keep the process moving Assist with social media planning across our platforms: content calendars, scheduling, and campaign coordination Pitch in on content creation: drafting posts, helping shape ideas, and supporting our editorial and video teams Help with research projects, vendor comparisons, and competitive analysis Keep projects organized and on schedule, jumping in wherever the team needs an extra set of hands Sit in on cross-functional work and learn how editorial, audience growth, sales, and operations fit together
What You Bring:
Currently pursuing (or recently completed) an MBA or comparable business program Strong organization and project-management instincts; you like keeping things on track Clear, confident writing and communication skills Comfort with social media platforms and an eye for what makes content work A self-starter attitude; you're proactive, adaptable, and thrive in a fast-paced environment Genuine curiosity about media, tech, and how a business actually runs
Bonus Points If You:
Have hands-on experience with social media planning or scheduling tools Have created content for a brand, publication, or your own channels Know your way around spreadsheets, basic analytics, or project-tracking tools Have an interest in digital media, audience growth, or the business of content Why You'll Love It Here You'll work shoulder-to-shoulder with an experienced, tight-knit team behind one of the most recognized brands in the tech space. You'll get real responsibility, real mentorship, and a resume's worth of hands-on experience across hiring, social, content, and operations. If you want to learn the media business by actually doing it (and want your work seen by millions of people) this is your launchpad.
