Job Description Summary Are you a storyteller, a social media maestro, and a creative force all rolled into one? We're on the lookout for a creative and social media-savvy Communications and Social Media Assistant to enhance brand visibility and engagement with University of La Verne internal and external communities. The communications team is seeking a dynamic and creative student who breathes life into words, loves to explore the world of social media, and has a passion for crafting compelling stories. The Communications and Social Media Assistant will work closely with the communications team to execute various tasks and contribute to the overall success of public outreach, public relations, and social media initiatives. Minimum Qualifications Experience in a professional, customer-focused environment. Experience writing content for a business or organization (i.e. press releases, articles, social media captions, or other relevant content). Experience working with social media platforms. Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Office 365, Google Apps, and similar cloud-based platforms. Ability to take initiative and work independently. Demonstrated time management and prioritization skills. Preferred Qualifications Communications and marketing majors preferred, but open to all majors. Knowledge of video editing, videography, and/or photography, and/or graphic/web design, especially within the context of social media.
