Job Description

Position Summary Summer internship providing a unique view of the Communications department of a major international arts institution. This internship is 40hrs/week for 8 weeks. Rodgers' internships are for current students at Williams College and Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts (MCLA). Major Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions) Write, create, and coordinate content and images/video for posting to social media, website, and other platforms. Assist in managing various social networking platforms to promote Clark exhibitions, events, activities, etc. Assist with writing and editing press releases for lectures, concerts, and other special events as assigned. Fact-check, proofread, and copyedit Clark publications and related ephemera according to Clark and Chicago styles. Assist in comparing event details in quarterly calendar of events mailer against the information on the Clark's website. Maintain press clipping books and prepare media summaries and analytics as directed. Assist with preparation of press materials in support of departmental efforts. Assist with planning and executing promotional activities/events related to the Clark, its exhibitions, and its role in the community. Assist in promoting Clark events/programs through providing content to multiple channels/calendar platforms that promote tourism to the state and region. Assist with providing content and updating digital applications managed by the Clark or in which the Clark is a participant. Create photography and video content documenting Clark events, exhibitions, and activities Assist in uploading photographic content to the Clark's digital asset management system. Minimum Qualifications Education, Training, and Skills Applicants must be college students at Williams College or Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts (MCLA). Work Experience Entry level position.
