Social Media Specialist We are looking for a creative, reliable, and motivated Social Media Specialist to join our marketing team. This person will help grow our online presence, create engaging content, and manage social media activity across multiple platforms. We already have team members handling website work, blogs, written stories, and longer-form content. This role is focused specifically on social media strategy, posting, short-form content, video ideas, engagement, and audience growth. Responsibilities The Social Media Specialist will be responsible for: Creating and scheduling social media posts across platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, LinkedIn, and others as appropriate Helping develop a social media content calendar Turning blogs, stories, photos, videos, and company updates into engaging social media posts Creating short-form videos, reels, and clips for social media Writing captions, headlines, hashtags, and calls to action Monitoring comments, messages, and engagement Helping identify trends, content ideas, and opportunities to grow our audience Working with our writer, website person, and leadership team to keep messaging consistent Tracking basic performance such as views, reach, engagement, followers, and leads Recommending ways to improve social media results over time Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is someone who: Has experience managing social media for a business, organization, personal brand, or professional project Understands how to create content that gets attention and engagement Has some video experience, including filming, editing, reels, shorts, or TikTok-style content Knows how to write clear and engaging captions Is organized and can plan posts ahead of time Is dependable, creative, and willing to take initiative Can work well with a small marketing team Understands that social media is not just posting — it is about building trust, attention, and relationships Preferred Experience Experience with Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube Shorts, or similar platforms Experience with Canva, CapCut, Adobe Express, Premiere, Final Cut, or similar editing tools Experience creating reels, short videos, graphics, carousels, or social campaigns Experience with Meta Business Suite or other scheduling tools Experience with paid social media ads is a plus, but not required Photography or basic video shooting experience is a plus Requirements Prior social media experience, either professionally or through meaningful personal/project experience Ability to create and follow a content calendar Ability to work independently and meet deadlines Comfortable learning about our business and turning ideas into social content Must be professional, reliable, and detail-oriented Photography and Video creation as well as editing is a must either personally or professionally
Pay:
$40,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
