Job Description

The St. Louis Blues seek qualified candidates who are passionate about creating fun and engaging content for social media and interested in a future career in digital media/marketing to serve as a season-long Social Media Intern. Join our team and help craft the online presence of an NHL team while gaining hands-on experience in the world of professional sports. The Social Media Intern will work on projects ranging across the organization, from games to ticket initiatives and community events. This internship is for the 2026-2027 season. This is a paid role based in St. Louis, MO. Interns must be on-site and available to work up to 29 hours per week.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist with the ideation, creation and implementation of engaging social media content, including but not limited to photos, graphics, gifs and videos Provide input and ideation for emerging platforms, including TikTok Support digital team's efforts throughout the season with gameday content, promotions, theme nights and special events Work with marketing team to conceptualize and pitch ideas for social media, website and/or video features Assist with day-to-day account monitoring and moderation, and provide customer service to fans in a timely and professional manner Get real-world experience in live events, social analytics and trend-spotting Opportunity to work collaboratively with and learn from other departments across the organization, including marketing, sponsorship, sales, retail, game entertainment and community relations Other duties as assigned Qualifications Communications, digital media, journalism or related degree preferred Passion for social media and marketing with an interest in pursuing a future career in the field Innovative individual, who is looking to put their creativity to work An eye for content and what will engage fans Knowledge of social platforms including Facebook, X, Instagram, Snapchat, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, along with an interest in emerging platforms Experience with photography, videography and Adobe Creative Suite is a plus Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with attention to detail, are a must Must be able to work a flexible schedule around game days/nights, including weekends We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, age, disability, gender identity, marital or veteran status, or any other protected class.
