E06 Position Summary The Transfer Content Specialist works under limited supervision with department partners across CNM campuses to promote the College's mission. This position develops and provides knowledge of academic and non-academic transfer practices to promote student success at and beyond the two-year degree level. Duties & Responsibilities Plans, organizes, and executes various events, both recurring and as needed as well as advisement presentations, recruitment events, and committee work as assigned Produces and presents various written and oral presentations and other content such as social media to diverse groups including; potential students, employers, industry leaders, and various community stakeholder organizations. Meets with students either individually or in groups and discusses specific information and issues related to transfer. Consults regularly with faculty to have up-to-date information regarding disciplines, classes, labs, other programs offered, and industry information that can aid in providing information to students regarding their academic options and oversees documentation and analysis of transfer efforts. Discusses and reinforces linkages and relationships between instructional program and occupation/career. Collaborates with staff and transfer partners at different institutions to identify and analyze effectiveness of student transfer and utilize subject matter experts to promote and recruit for programs. Maintains working relationships with program staff to compile and disseminate program information. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree AND Two (2) years' directly related experience.
Preferences:
Experience in higher education, student services, academic advising, or transfer services. Experience planning, coordinating, and executing events, workshops, or recruitment activities. Experience developing and delivering presentations to diverse audiences, both in-person and virtually. Strong written communication skills, including experience creating content for newsletters, websites, or social media.
