Social Media & Marketing Assistant (Part-Time)

Reports To:
Store Manager & General Manager Position Summary Lori's Natural Foods is seeking a creative and organized Social Media & Marketing Assistant to help promote our store, products, events, and community involvement through social media and marketing initiatives. This part-time position will support content creation, assist with marketing campaigns, and help maintain a positive online presence that reflects our commitment to natural foods, local partnerships, wellness, and exceptional customer service. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys social media, photography, content creation, and connecting with the local community. The Social Media & Marketing Assistant will help tell the story of Lori's Natural Foods while showcasing our products, local vendors, events, and the people who make our store unique. Key Responsibilities Social Media Management Create and post content on Lori's Natural Foods' social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, and other applicable channels. Capture photos and videos of products, local vendors, events, staff, and store activities. Monitor social media accounts and respond to comments and messages as directed. Help maintain a consistent brand voice and image that reflects the values of Lori's Natural Foods. Assist in growing social media engagement and audience reach. Marketing Support Assist with the planning and execution of promotional campaigns, sales, and special events. Create basic marketing materials such as flyers, posters, and social media graphics. Help update website content and online business listings when needed. Coordinate with management to promote seasonal products, local partnerships, wellness initiatives, and community events. Research local marketing opportunities and community partnerships that align with the mission of Lori's Natural Foods. Community Engagement Attend occasional community events to represent Lori's Natural Foods. Help promote local vendors, farmers, product demonstrations, and store events. Assist in building relationships with customers through engaging content and communication. Administrative Support Maintain a content calendar and schedule posts in advance. Track basic social media performance metrics and provide updates to management. Assist with other marketing and administrative projects as assigned. Qualifications Experience Previous social media, marketing, customer service, or retail experience preferred but not required. Familiarity with Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and other social media platforms. Skills Strong written and verbal communication skills. Basic photography and video creation skills. Creative mindset with attention to detail. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks. Basic knowledge of Canva, Microsoft Office, or similar design and productivity tools is preferred. Education High School Diploma or GED preferred. Students pursuing marketing, communications, graphic design, or related fields are encouraged to apply. Physical & Availability Requirements Ability to work a flexible part-time schedule, including occasional evenings or weekends for events. Ability to move throughout the store and community event locations as needed. Ability to use a smartphone, camera, and computer for content creation and communication.
