Hybrid (Approx. 75% Virtual / 25% In-Person) Overview The Mid City Merchants (MCM) and the Mid City Redevelopment Alliance (MCRA) are seeking a highly organized, tech-savvy Administrative Assistant to support the daily operations of two organizations dedicated to the growth and vibrancy of the Mid City community. This role requires a blend of creative communication, technical precision, and executive support. Scope of Work The successful candidate will divide their time between both organizations, reporting directly to the Executive Director of MCRA.Primary Responsibilities:
Correspondence:
Serve as the first point of contact by managing and responding to email inquiries for MCM.Executive Support:
Provide administrative assistance to the Executive Director of MCRA, including task management, scheduling, and project coordination.Social Media Management:
Create, schedule, and monitor content across various social media platforms for both organizations to maintain a consistent and professional digital presence.Meeting Support:
Attend and document monthlyMidCity Merchants board meetings.Special Projects:
Execute additional administrative tasks as needed to support community events, fundraising, or redevelopment initiatives.Candidate Requirements Technical Mastery:
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace (Drive, Docs, Sheets, Calendar).Design & Editing:
Proven ability in graphic design (Canva, Adobe, etc.) and a high level of competency in copy editing and proofreading.Communication:
Strong written and verbal communication skills with a professional demeanor.Logistics:
Ability to work remotely for the majority of tasks while maintaining the flexibility to attend in-person meetings and events in Mid City.Screening:
Must be able to successfully pass a comprehensive background check.Terms of Contract Pay:
This is a flat-fee contract position paying $1,250 per month .Hours:
While the schedule is flexible, the candidate must be responsive during standard business hours and available for scheduled monthly board meetings and in office meetings as required.Equipment:
The contractor is expected to provide their own computer and reliable internet access.Pay:
