Job Description
Content & Social Media Intern Pine Tar Academy is seeking motivated and creative individuals interested in gaining hands-on experience in sports media, digital storytelling, and social media content creation. This internship offers a unique opportunity to work directly within a fast-paced baseball training environment while helping capture and showcase the daily energy of athletes, coaches, and competitive development. Responsibilities & Learning Opportunities Assist in generating creative content ideas for multiple social media platforms Collaborate with the media team to plan and execute visual storytelling initiatives Capture and edit multimedia content including photos, video, graphics, and social media posts Film practices, training sessions, camps, and events Monitor social media and industry trends to keep content relevant and engaging Support updates and optimization of Pine Tar Academy's social media channels and website Learn effective techniques for working in a sports environment while documenting athletes and events Desired Skills & Attributes Creative Content Mindset Ability to develop engaging concepts for video, photography, and social media that align with a brand identity. Photography & Videography Fundamentals Basic understanding of camera settings, composition, lighting, and framing. Video Editing Experience Familiarity with editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, CapCut, or similar platforms. Social Media Awareness Knowledge of platforms including Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and X, with an understanding of digital trends and audience engagement. Visual Storytelling Ability Ability to capture authentic moments and transform them into compelling digital narratives. Collaboration & Communication Comfort working with athletes, coaches, and staff within a fast-moving sports environment. Organization & Time Management Ability to manage multiple tasks, assist with planning shoots, and meet production deadlines. Attention to Detail Strong eye for visual quality, brand consistency, and professional presentation. Adaptability Willingness to learn new equipment, software, and creative workflows. Professionalism Around Athletes Ability to interact respectfully with athletes, coaches, and families while representing the organization positively. Problem Solving Ability to adjust quickly during live events, filming sessions, or editing challenges. Initiative & Work Ethic Self-motivated attitude with a strong desire to learn and contribute daily. Applicant Requirements Portfolio of previous content work (a social media profile is acceptable) Personal computer or tablet capable of editing media Personal camera equipment is required Remote positions may be available for applicants specializing in editing or graphic design Applicants must: Be 18 years of age or older Have reliable transportation Be available to work flexible hours, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekdays, and weekends as needed
Pay:
