Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dynamic and resourceful Digital Navigator to join our team and empower communities through technology. As a Digital Navigator, you will serve as a vital bridge between individuals and digital resources, providing expert guidance and support in navigating online platforms, and devices, troubleshooting technical issues, and skills training. Our Digital Navigator provides personalized, one-on-one support to community members who need assistance using technology. This position helps individuals build confidence with computers, smartphones, tablets, and the internet while increasing access to digital resources that improve everyday life. The Digital Navigator meets people where they are, offering patient, compassionate guidance tailored to each person's goals and skill level. Key Responsibilities Provide one-on-one digital skills coaching to community members of all ages and experience levels. Teach iPhone seminars throughout Chippewa and Eau Claire Counties. Assist individuals with basic computer, smartphone, tablet, and internet use. Help participants set up email, navigate websites and online forms, access telehealth, apply for jobs, use video calling platforms, download apps, and practice online safety. Support participants in accessing affordable internet and technology resources when appropriate. Assist with distribution and basic setup of refurbished computers and other digital devices. Maintain accurate records of participant interactions, services provided, and outcomes. Refer participants to community resources when additional assistance is needed. Represent the organization professionally. Participate in outreach events, workshops, and community presentations as assigned. Complete required reporting and attend staff meetings or trainings as needed. Qualifications Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Patience and enthusiasm for teaching people with varying technology experience. Comfortable using Windows computers, smartphones, email, internet browsers, and common applications. Ability to explain technical concepts simply. Organized and able to work independently. High school diploma or equivalent; related experience preferred. Must be well versed in using an iPhone Preferred Qualifications Experience teaching adults or older adults. Knowledge of digital equity initiatives and community resources. Bilingual skills are a plus. Schedule Part-time position averaging 10 hours per week with a flexible schedule, including occasional evening or community events as needed. Physical Requirements Ability to sit or stand for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds. Reliable transportation for occasional local travel.
