Social Media & Marketing Specialist "Local"

Social Media & Marketing Specialist Outdoor Dog Supply is looking for a creative, driven individual to join our team as a Social Media & Marketing Specialist . This role is primarily focused on social media content creation and email/SMS marketing —connecting with our audience, growing our brand, and helping drive sales through engaging, authentic content. If you love dogs, the outdoors, and creating content—this could be a perfect fit. What You'll Be Doing (Primary Focus): Creating and managing social media content (Facebook & Instagram) Planning, filming, and editing Reels & short-form videos Developing and sending email & SMS marketing campaigns Running and managing paid Meta (Facebook & Instagram) advertisements Setting up and optimizing Meta Pixel tracking Researching and exploring opportunities to expand into paid content on TikTok Managing and updating Outdoor Dog Supply's social media shop pages Staying on top of social media trends , including trends within the working dog, sporting dog, and hunting dog communities Creating posts such as: Product promotions & sales Customer shoutouts Relatable dog & outdoor content Actively engaging with our audience daily : Replying to comments and messages Interacting with tagged posts Engaging with hunting, outdoor, and dog-related content to reach new customers Learning our product line to confidently and effectively market our products Your main goal will be to: Grow our social media following Increase engagement and customer interaction Expand our reach and brand awareness Help drive sales through social media and marketing efforts These are the primary responsibilities of the role but are not limited to these tasks. Secondary Responsibilities (Will Be Taught): Assisting with basic website/backend tasks (Shopify) Helping with light graphic design (Canva, etc.) Providing phone coverage during busy times when needed These are supporting tasks , not the primary focus, and we're happy to train the right person.

Someone who is creative, motivated, and consistent Comfortable with content creation (photo & video) Familiar with social media platforms, trends, and paid advertising Strong communication skills and enjoys interacting with people Works well in an open, team-oriented work environment Willing to learn and understand our products Comfortable being on camera and participating in social media videos A dog lover who enjoys the outdoors A degree is not required, but relevant experience is important. While experience in this industry isn't required, we strongly value someone who: Loves dogs Enjoys the outdoors Has an interest in hunting, working dogs, or sporting breeds If you have dogs of your own—especially working or sporting dogs—that's a big plus. If not, a genuine interest and willingness to learn is what matters most.

Schedule & Flexibility:

We are a small business , and flexibility is important. Our store is open daily from 8AM-6PM Scheduling can be flexible and we're happy to work with the right candidate Occasional help in other areas may be needed during busy times During our busy season (September-January), there may be a need for periodic Sunday shifts on a rotating schedule

Pay:
