Government Contracting Course Instructor Minnesota Institute of Horn of Africa Studies Minneapolis, MN Job Details Contract $65 - $75 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Law Master's degree Bachelor's degree Business Administration Teaching Full Job Description We are seeking a qualified Government Contracting & Compliance Training Course Instructor to teach an in-person training program for small business owners, entrepreneurs, and professionals in the Minneapolis area. The course will help participants understand how to prepare for and pursue government contracting opportunities at the city, county, state, and federal levels.

Competitive and based on experience Responsibilities The instructor will be responsible for teaching practical sessions on: Government contracting basics Business registration and compliance readiness SAM.gov registration and federal contracting systems State, county, and city procurement opportunities Small business certifications Capability statements Bid and proposal preparation Contract compliance and documentation Finding and responding to contracting opportunities The instructor will also provide real-world examples, templates, assignments, and practical guidance to help participants prepare their businesses for government contracting opportunities. Preferred Qualifications Experience in government contracting, procurement, supplier diversity, small business development, or contract compliance. Knowledge of federal, state, county, and city contracting systems. Experience working with small businesses, immigrant entrepreneurs, minority-owned businesses, or community-based organizations is preferred. Teaching, training, consulting, or workshop facilitation experience is strongly preferred. Education Qualifications Bachelor's degree preferred in Business Administration, Public Administration, Accounting, Finance, Law, Procurement, Contract Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. A master's degree, JD, CPA, PMP, CPCM, CFCM, or other relevant professional certification is a plus. Equivalent professional experience in government contracting, procurement, compliance, or small business consulting may be considered in place of formal education.
