Job Description

Job Overview Join our dynamic team as Child and Family Therapist in Buzzards Bay, where you will play a pivotal role in transforming lives through innovative therapeutic practices. You will provide compassionate care to individuals dealing with anxiety, trauma, PTSD, and various mental health challenges. Your expertise will empower clients to navigate their healing journeys while fostering resilience and growth. What you'll do Conduct thorough assessments and intake evaluations to develop personalized treatment plans for clients. Utilize energy psychology techniques (training included) alongside other modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy, art therapy, and psychodynamic therapy to address trauma and mental health issues. Provide individual counseling sessions, ensuring a supportive environment for sharing experiences and fostering connections. Implement crisis intervention strategies to support clients in acute distress while maintaining safety and well-being. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care, including social workers, medical professionals, and support staff. Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and ensure proper ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding for diagnoses. Basic qualifications Master's degree in psychology, social work, or a related field. Eligibility to work toward independent licensure hours under supervision. Experience working with children, families, perinatal mental health or grief is highly desirable. Preferred qualifications Proficiency in motivational interviewing techniques and crisis management strategies. Familiarity with behavioral therapy approaches including applied behavior analysis. Experience providing telehealth services to enhance accessibility for clients. Comfort with Electronic Health Records, documentation in a timely manner and collaboration with colleagues yet strong ability to work independently.
