Job Description

Whitetail Environmental, LLC is seeking a Material Coordinator at Fort Campbell, KY.
Essential Functions:
Use pump trucks to remove used Oil and fuel from above ground storage tanks, aircraft and ground vehicles, and 55-gallon waste drums Perform inventory management of used oil in above ground storage tanks. Drain POL container into storage tank and shred containers for recycling and disposal Collect used oil and solvent rags and containerize them for waste disposal Coordinate used oil removal with off site vendor Track hazardous material storage area locations for all customers on the installation Apply applicable rules, regulations, policies and procedures relating to environmental programs Assure compliance with environmental regulations Inspect waste generation and storage locations across the installation Inform individuals and groups of pollution control regulations and inspection results and explain how problems can be corrected Maintain logbooks, records, and computer data Provide accurate data to the PPOC program managers Prepare, or assist in the preparation of technical reports Pick up and transport used oil and fuel in a timely manner Plan and always execute all work in a safe manner complying with OSHA regulations and have a thorough understanding of safety procedures Conduct environmental training Perform office duties as required Work includes other duties as assigned and compliance with company policies Qualifications (Education and Experience): Minimum of high school diploma or associate degree with relevant experience preferred Two years' experience in the environmental field preferred (college level chemistry, environmental science may apply towards "experience") Required proficiency with standard Microsoft Office software Familiarity with applicable environmental, health and safety standards Basic knowledge of terminology, principles and techniques of the management of hazardous waste, waste oil/petroleum, universal waste, data collection, organization and analytical procedures
Additional Eligibility Requirements:
Must have U.S. citizenship Must have, and maintain, a Tennessee or Kentucky Driver's License or equivalent Must be able to pass Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) Must have a favorably adjudicated National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) or an equivalent or higher investigation Must be capable of obtaining/maintaining a DoD access card Ability to operate a forklift CDL needed for instances of pump trucks being utilized off installation Specialized certifications and training such as
EPA 608/609
refrigerant handling, spill training, AT Level 1 training Must have or obtain OSHA 40-hour Hazardous Waste Training

within 90 days of hire date•Certificates of completion must be submitted within 90 days of hire date
Physical Effort and Working Conditions:
Position requires the lifting and handling of hazardous and non-hazardous waste containers, such as full 55-gallon drums assisted with the use of a drum truck and forklift. Work frequently requires standing, stooping, bending, kneeling, climbing, and working in tiring and uncomfortable positions for extended periods. Work occurs both inside and outside in all types of climates. When working outside, the Technician is often exposed to hot sun for extended periods of time and occasionally to bad weather. Outside work may be performed under adverse conditions for extended periods. The technician is required to wear gloves, and other personal protective equipment designed to nullify the risk of exposure to toxic material, which might damage their health. Damage to health may occur if appropriate safety procedures are not followed.

Daily travel to locations within Fort Campbell. A GSA vehicle will be provided for daily travel/work at the installation.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
Whitetail Environmental maintains the government work schedule. This is a fulltime position with the work schedule as 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday. This schedule allows for a 30-minute lunch break daily. This schedule may be adjusted as deemed necessary by the on-site manager. Whitetail Environmental is an equal opportunity employer.
