Job Title:
Material Handler All Shifts Available $23/HR-25/HR  Job Description The Material Handler supports a busy warehouse operation by working across multiple departments to ensure accurate picking, packing, shipping, receiving, and material movement. This role involves frequent use of warehouse equipment, handling both manual and equipment-assisted loading and unloading, and performing basic computer tasks within an ERP system. The position is ideal for someone who enjoys variety in their day, is comfortable changing tasks and departments as needed, and takes pride in maintaining an efficient, organized warehouse. Responsibilities Work in a variety of warehouse departments and adapt to changing daily assignments based on operational needs. Pick and pack orders accurately using pick sheets to ensure correct items and quantities are prepared for shipment. Use RF scanners to locate, pick, and track inventory and to confirm order accuracy in the warehouse management system. Build pallets securely and efficiently, and break down boxes and pallets as needed to support shipping, receiving, and storage activities. Operate pallet jacks safely throughout the warehouse to move materials, products, and finished goods. Drive various types of material handling equipment, including reach trucks, stand-up forklifts, sit-down forklifts, and tuggers, when assigned and trained. Load and unload trucks using forklifts, pallet jacks, or by hand, ensuring products are handled safely and without damage. Support shipping and receiving activities by working at dock doors, staging incoming and outgoing freight, and assisting with documentation as needed. For shipping and receiving assignments, work within the ERP system (Epicor) to enter data, verify orders, and support accurate inventory and shipment records. Cross-train with production teams when needed to support overall warehouse and production workflow. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, following all safety procedures and reporting any hazards or equipment issues. Follow standard operating procedures and work instructions to meet productivity, quality, and accuracy goals. Essential Skills Previous experience working in a warehouse environment. Flexibility and willingness to work in different departments and perform a variety of tasks each day. Ability to perform physical work, including standing, walking, lifting, and moving materials throughout the shift. Experience with basic material handling tasks such as picking, packing, and general warehouse production. Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes in a warehouse or distribution setting. Ability to operate pallet jacks safely within a warehouse environment. Comfort using RF scanners to support order picking and inventory tracking, or willingness to learn quickly. Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate picking, packing, and shipment preparation. Ability to follow instructions, standard operating procedures, and safety guidelines consistently. Reliable attendance and the ability to work assigned shifts, including potential weekend schedules. Additional Skills & Qualifications 1+ year of forklift experience, including reach trucks, stand-up forklifts, sit-down forklifts, or tuggers. Experience working in warehouse distribution or material handling roles. Ability to cross-train with production teams and support production-related tasks when needed. Ability to use a computer for basic data entry and navigation within an ERP system, such as Epicor. Experience with picking and packing off of pick sheets in a high-volume environment. Willingness to learn new equipment and systems as the operation grows and evolves. Why Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fridley, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.50 - $25.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
