Duties and Responsibilities of Material Handler:

You are expected to arrive for work and be prepared everyday by specified start time, usually 7 AM. You are expected to wear full PPE (Hard Hat, Reflective Vest, Cut-4 Resistant Gloves, Eye Protection) always while on the yard. These items have been issued to you in full. You are expected to maintain the cleanliness and organization of the yard by picking up trash and maintaining organization in accordance with the space optimization & utilization plan. You are expected to sign the site safety tailboard every day before any yard work begins, and to re-brief the tailboard's risk management after lunch and if there is any change to the operating environment requiring new mitigation strategy. You are expected to complete PMC on all forklifts every day before conducting any forklift operations. You are expected to conduct all daily work in accordance with OSHA safety regulations. You are expected to communicate any safety issues on the yard to your fellow employees, and you are encouraged to take the initiative in corrective action to increase the overall safety standard of the yard. You are expected to ensure that all Connex's are closed and secured at the close of business every day. As well as the closing and locking of the yard perimeter fences. You are expected to communicate any requests or special circumstances for leaving work at least a week in advance, any same day requests will be denied unless it is a personal or family emergency. You are expected to complete all tasks on the yard with a customer service focus, ensuring everything is done with the mindset of supporting the contractor on the yard. Material Handling Minimum Expectations at work: You are expected to wear full PPE while operating any equipment on the yard. You are expected to utilize proper lifting techniques when moving items by hand, and immediately ask if unfamiliar with proper lifting techniques prior to having formal training provided by Jingoli Power You are expected to always wear a seat belt while conducting forklift operations. You are expected to place the forklift in neutral, with the parking brake engaged, whenever exiting the forklift. You are expected to always operate the forklift in a safe manner, with a constant awareness of all personnel, items, and vehicle traffic near you. You are expected to have the capability to utilize the forklift in all manners required to support the contractor and the daily operations of the yard. You are expected to have the capacity to receive training to meet the above standard of forklift operations in support of the contractor and the yard. You are expected to utilize all small hand tools, as well as box cutting knives, in a safe manner wearing issued/provided Cut-4 resistant gloves at all times.

Material Processing:

You are expected to learn the process for receiving all work order, stock, and working stock materials. You are expected to correctly count and ensure that all stock materials received are present, and not just assuming the number on the tag is what is present. You are expected to place all materials in their correct storage locations during processing. You are expected to communicate to the Facility Manager any damaged or unusable materials received during processing. You are expected to constantly be learning and growing in your understanding of materials and their functions to better serve the customer.

Pay Range:

$35 an hour depending on experience and overall profile.

PTO:

2 weeks of vacation per year, 1 week of personal time per year, 1 week of sick time per year, 8 paid Holidays throughout the year.
