Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our dynamic warehouse team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in warehouse distribution and materials handling, with the ability to operate various types of heavy equipment safely and efficiently. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation of our shipping and receiving processes. Duties Operate forklifts, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks to load and unload materials and products. Perform order picking using accurate inventory management. Assist in shipping and receiving tasks, ensuring all items are accounted for and properly stored. Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to OSHA safety standards. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow and efficiency. Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any mechanical issues. Engage in heavy lifting as required, moving materials throughout the warehouse as needed. Skills Proven experience in warehouse operations, including familiarity with warehouse management systems. Strong mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment operation and maintenance. Ability to operate forklifts safely and effectively. Knowledge of shipping & receiving protocols and best practices in materials handling. Previous experience as a warehouse supervisor is a plus but not required. Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks consistently throughout the shift.
