Back Material Handling Shift Manager#2015393 Dundee, Michigan, United StatesApply X Facebook LinkedIn Email Copy Job Description The Material Handling Shift Manager is responsible for leading teams of hourly and salary, bargaining and non-bargaining employees in completing material receiving and delivery activities that enable the plant to meet daily production targets. This role directly supports daily production; the Material Handling Shift Manager is responsible for troubleshooting problems as they arise and allocating resources and manpower accordingly to resolve issues without impact to plant throughput performance. The Material Area Shift Manager is also responsible for directly managing a team of salaried non-bargaining employees, accountable for employee hiring, training, performance and retention. The Material Handling Shift Manager participates in and promotes lean Stellantis Industrial System activities.

Responsible for Manpower Management including Employee Hiring, Training, Performance, Stellantis Industrial System Involvement and RetentionUtilizes problem solving skills and knowledge in lean methodology and tools to root cause and resolve top issuesInteracts with all levels of the organization including bargaining and non-bargaining hourly and salary employees as well as executive leadershipLeads Safety, Quality and Cost initiatives set forth by the Plant and Corporate Location(s) 5800 North Ann Arbor Road, Dundee, Michigan 48131,
United States Requirements Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's DegreeMinimum 5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environmentAbility to demonstrate lean manufacturing knowledge and applicationAbility to direct the workforce and deliver results on Key Performance IndicatorsExperience in resolving employee conflicts with professionalism and integrityExcellent oral and written communication skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office and/or Google SuiteAbility to work any shift and overtime as required
Preferred Qualifications:
