Job Description

As a Material Manager and Delivery Driver at Barron Construction, you play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our construction projects. Your responsibility is to oversee the planning, procurement, storage, and timely distribution of materials and products to meet the needs of our job sites.
Key Responsibilities:

Key Teams:
Work closely with purchasers, project managers, and foremen to efficiently schedule the delivery of materials, supplies, and equipment as needed.
Effective Communication:
Maintain clear and effective communication with vendors and suppliers to coordinate deliveries. Coordinate with the office staff and foremen to understand immediate, daily, and weekly material needs, ensuring timely deliveries.
Loading & Securing Materials:
Load tools, materials, and equipment into the truck from the warehouse, job sites, or vendors. Ensure all items are safely and securely fastened for transport.
Sourcing Materials:
Source materials from a variety of suppliers including: o Home Depo to Menards o Plumbing supply houses o Millwork suppliers o Hardwood flooring suppliers o Other specialty vendors as needed
Delivery & Unloading:
Deliver materials and equipment to jobsites promptly, ensuring they arrive in good condition and meet project timelines. Unload and organize materials at the jobsite to ensure efficient use by the construction team.
Returns & Warehouse Organization:
Transport unused materials and tools from jobsites back to the warehouse. Safely unload and store materials in their designated locations. Maintain an organized and well-kept warehouse, continuously ensuring that tools and materials are correctly stored and easily accessible.
Daily Reporting:
Provide daily updates to the office each afternoon, detailing your progress and ensuring that the next day's tasks are planned efficiently.
Ideal Candidate:
Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with multiple teams and external vendors. Attention to detail when handling materials and ensuring they are properly secured for transport. A proactive and organized approach to managing warehouse inventory. Valid driver's license and ability to operate company vehicles safely and efficiently.
Job Type:

$23.00 - $25.00 per hour
