You will be the Material & Process Engr for the Advanced Manufacturing and Materials Management (AMMM) team which is responsible for advancing materials science and process engineering across our aerospace programs. What You Will Be Doing As the Material & Process Engr you will be responsible for analyzing, researching, designing, and developing materials and their related fabrication and application processes to optimize engineering designs for structures, systems, and subsystems.Your responsibilities will include:
Analyze, research, design and develop materials and related fabrication processes to support engineering designs. Apply chemistry, physics, and material-behavior principles to create specifications for metallic, non-metallic, and composite materials. Develop and apply material properties, design allowables, processing methods, and quality-engineering specifications. Perform material analyses including failure analysis, life-prediction, and definition of requirement specifications. Review and approve subcontractor material-processing procedures as needed. Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Materials Engineering, Composite Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Mechanical engineering, Chemical Engineering or Corrosion Engineering
- Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance.
Desired Skills:
- Experience in Aerospace Metallic, Nonmetallic, and or Hazardous materials
- Experience in technical specifications, reports, and test plans
- Experience in creating and delivering technical presentations and briefings
- Ability to work in a collaborative team-based environment
- Experience with material characterization and testing

The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.Work Schedules:
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits. Schedule for thisPosition:
