Materials Supervisor (Manufacturing - Livonia) Onsite | Lavonia, GA Monday-Thursday (10-hour days) Ross Controls is a global industrial manufacturer specializing in fluid power safety and automation solutions. About the Role We're looking for a hands-on, proactive Materials Supervisor to lead our planning, inventory, and material flow operations at our Livonia facility. This is a floor-connected leadership role -ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, takes initiative, and isn't afraid to step in and solve problems in real time. You'll oversee a team while ensuring materials move efficiently from purchase order through production and shipment. What You'll Do Oversee end-to-end material flow from purchasing through production and shipping Lead and develop a team across planning, inventory, and receiving functions Ensure uninterrupted material supply to support production schedules Monitor and balance inventory levels to avoid shortages and overproduction Oversee MRP, forecasting, and production planning activities Partner with Production to align schedules and capacity planning Support supplier management, issue resolution, and performance tracking Identify process improvement opportunities and eliminate inefficiencies Promote lean manufacturing practices (Kanban, pull systems, etc.) Step in to support team workload and maintain daily operations as needed What We're Looking For Must-Haves High School Diploma Experience in manufacturing supply chain, materials, or production planning Proven leadership or team lead experience Strong understanding of material flow, inventory control, and MRP Self-starter with the ability to take initiative and work independently Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally Comfortable in a hands-on, fast-paced plant environment Preferred B.S.
