This is a full-time position with benefits. The Chino Valley Unified School District is on a 4-day work week Monday through Thursday. Salary below includes $16,500 from Classroom Site Fund.

POSITION SUMMARY
The Title 1 Math Interventionist Teacher will work directly with children who are not making adequate progress in their mathematics skills. The Teacher is responsible for the education of each pupil in his or her charge and for working with students, parents, other teachers and staff toward achieving the goals set forth in the CVUSD Mission Statement.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The interventionist, working with small groups of struggling students, will provide targeted, explicit instruction in mathematics comprehension. Plans, writes, and implements curriculum and instruction in a manner consistent with CVUSD's Mission Statement, including understanding, modeling and fostering independent thinking skills, creative problem solving and abstract reasoning. Evaluate the progress of each student on a regular and continuing basis. Record and maintain student attendance records and provide such pupil accounting data to the school office in accordance with school policy. Arrange for conferences with parents as needed. Shows empathy and understanding of students. Shares ideas and observations with students and parents. Guides the learning process toward the achievement of state standards. Be responsible for an instructional program and the utilization of teaching methods that consider the individual needs, interests, abilities and maturity levels of the students. Encourages students to set and maintain standards of classroom behavior. Takes all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials and facilities. Prepares appropriate documentation and reports on programs and on student progress. Assists the administration in implementing all policies and/or rules governing student life and conduct, and for the classroom, develops reasonable rules of classroom behavior and procedure, and maintains order in the classroom in a fair and just manner. Makes provisions for being available to students and parents for education-related purposes outside the instructional day when required or requested to do so under reasonable terms. Exercise sound professional judgment in relationships with students, as well as actions toward students, either in the discharge of normal duties or in disciplinary situations that might arise. Establish and maintain a cooperative relationship with co-workers, as well as with supervisory personnel. Work with special education teachers relative to students involved in part-time or full-time mainstreaming in academic or non-academic settings. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS
Must have or be able to obtain a valid Arizona Elementary Teaching Certificate. Must have or be able to obtain a valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Card.
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
Bachelors degree or higher from an accredited college or universityin elementary education.
