Math Tutor

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Math Tutor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in teaching mathematics and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment for children with learning differences. This role involves working closely with students grades K through 12 and in one-on-one and small group settings. Our goal is to enhance their understanding of mathematical concepts through evidence-based, structured approaches. Schedule/Location The ability to travel to homes or libraries within San Mateo County. Available after school. Available on weekends is a plus. Requirements Certified or trained in math intervention programs (msense, Making Math Real, Singapore Math, etc.)

Bonus:

An understanding of dyscalculia. Experience working with students in a 1:1 or small group setting. Strong skills in lesson planning and behavior management. A genuine passion for teaching and helping students succeed academically in mathematics. Undergraduate degree Duties Develop and implement engaging math lesson plans tailored to individual student needs. Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies as necessary to meet diverse learning styles. Foster a love for mathematics by incorporating fun and interactive activities into tutoring sessions. Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding student progress and areas for improvement.

Pay:

$100.00 - $130.00 per hour
