Teacher of Mathematics (Part-Time) Required for September 2026 Part-Time (0.4-0.6 FTE considered) MPS/UPS (pro rata) Southend-on-Sea, Essex We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, talented, and committed Teacher of Mathematics to join our successful and supportive Maths Department from September 2026. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate teacher to inspire students and contribute to a thriving school community where high expectations, strong relationships, and excellent teaching are at the heart of everything we do. Applications are welcomed from experienced teachers as well as Early Career Teachers (ECTs) looking to begin or develop their teaching career within a collaborative and forward-thinking environment. About the Role The successful candidate will: Teach Mathematics across Key Stages 3 and 4 Have the opportunity to teach Key Stage 5 for suitable candidates Plan and deliver engaging, challenging, and differentiated lessons Use assessment effectively to support student progress and achievement Contribute to curriculum development within the department Support intervention programmes and enrichment opportunities where appropriate Promote high standards of behaviour, effort, and academic achievement The role offers flexibility regarding working days and timetable arrangements for the right candidate. Staff work closely together to share resources, develop pedagogy, and ensure students of all abilities are supported and challenged appropriately.

The Successful Candidate Will:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification Have strong subject knowledge and a passion for Mathematics Be an excellent classroom practitioner or demonstrate the potential to become one Have high expectations for student achievement and behaviour Possess excellent communication and organisational skills Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people Contribute positively to the wider life of the school
