Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Matrimonial Attorney licensed to practice in New York State to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience handling all aspects of divorce and family law litigation, including complex equitable distribution, custody disputes, spousal and child support matters, and prenuptial/postnuptial agreements.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage a full caseload of matrimonial and family law matters from inception through trial or settlement. Draft pleadings, motions, discovery responses, legal memoranda, and settlement agreements. Conduct client consultations, case evaluations, and provide strategic legal advice. Appear in Supreme and Family Courts throughout New York State for conferences, hearings, and trials. Negotiate settlements and represent clients in mediation or collaborative law settings. Supervise and mentor junior associates, paralegals, and legal assistants as needed. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of evolving New York matrimonial laws and best practices.
Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school. Active and good standing member of the New York State Bar. Minimum 5 years of substantive matrimonial litigation experience. Strong courtroom presence and trial advocacy skills. Excellent writing, research, and oral communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. Compassionate, client-centered approach with high ethical standards.
Preferred:
Experience with high-net-worth or complex financial divorce cases. Familiarity with forensic accountants, business valuations, and custody evaluations.

Competitive salary commensurate with experience, plus benefits and performance-based bonuses.
