MCO Verification Specialist

SUMMARY:

The MCO Verification Specialist provides financial, clerical, and administrator services to ensure efficient, timely, and accurate payment of accounts.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Run monthly all payer verification. Obtain authorization for Medicare B services. Maintain daily records of admissions/discharges and status change within facility. Assist with medical plan changes. Investigate and resolve customer queries. Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Accounts Receivable:

1 year experience, required. Experience in Long Term Care industry, preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday. May be necessary to assist in the evacuation of residents during emergency situations.
