Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate all activities within the meat department, including stocking, merchandising, and customer service. Manage inventory control to ensure product freshness, proper stock levels, and accurate ordering using POS systems. Lead hiring, training, and development of team members to enhance their skills in sales management, customer service, and safety procedures. Oversee pricing strategies, promotional displays, and merchandising efforts to maximize sales and store appearance. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, proper food handling practices, and store policies. Handle cash register operations, cashiering duties, and cash handling procedures with accuracy. Monitor department performance through retail math analysis, budgeting, and sales reports to meet or exceed targets. Requirements Proven management experience in retail or grocery store environments, specifically with supervising teams in a fast-paced setting. Strong knowledge of inventory management, purchasing processes, and retail math principles. Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customers. Demonstrated skills in negotiation, employee orientation, interviewing, recruiting, payroll processing, bookkeeping, and administrative tasks. Experience with POS systems, cashiering, stock rotation (merchandising), pricing strategies, and store management. Ability to lead training & development initiatives while fostering teamwork and motivating staff. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in inventory control and shift management. Knowledge of marketing techniques relevant to retail sales promotion; experience in retail sales is preferred.
