Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and motivated Mechanic specializing in agricultural equipment to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of farm machinery and industrial equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. Your expertise will help keep our operations running smoothly, supporting farmers and agricultural businesses with reliable, efficient machinery. Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on farm machinery, including tractors, harvesters, and other heavy equipment using OEM schematics and technical manuals. Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire service, brake repairs, hydraulic system servicing, and transmission overhauls to maximize equipment lifespan. Fabricate custom parts or modifications using hand tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques to meet specific operational needs. Operate heavy machinery such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and other industrial equipment safely and efficiently during repair or installation processes. Troubleshoot electrical systems, including wiring harnesses, sensors, Soldering components, and electrical diagnostics to resolve complex issues. Inspect vehicles and equipment for compliance with safety standards such as air brake systems and alignment specifications; perform necessary adjustments or repairs. Maintain detailed service records, follow safety protocols, and ensure all repairs meet OEM standards for quality assurance. Qualifications Proven experience working as a mechanic in dealership settings or with agricultural machinery is highly preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, HVAC systems, and electrical components. Hands-on experience with farm machinery repair—including tractors, combines, harvesters—and industrial equipment is essential. Ability to read schematics accurately and utilize diagnostic tools for troubleshooting complex mechanical issues. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques required for custom repairs or modifications. Valid experience operating heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes or forklift trucks in a safe manner. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients and team members. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting, work in confined spaces, and conduct prolonged periods of manual labor as needed. $23.00 - $40.00 per hour
