Mechanic Job Description Join our team as a Mechanic/Service Technician with a growing company. This position offers a blended Shop/Field Service role, where you will service and provide maintenance to larger Power Distribution rental equipment. You will work with Industrial Diesel Compressors, Industrial Diesel Generators, HVAC equipment, and Compressed Air treatment components. Time will be split evenly between shop and field duties. Responsibilities Perform maintenance and service on Industrial Diesel Compressors and Generators. Troubleshoot electrical systems and equipment. Conduct preventive maintenance and repair tasks. Utilize skills in diesel, compressor, and generator maintenance. Read and interpret electrical schematics and hydraulic flow drawings. Apply knowledge of power distribution, AC/DC, and electrical systems up to 480-V. Essential Skills 3+ years of experience as a Mechanic or Service Technician. Experience in automotive and diesel engines. Proficiency in electrical engines and controllers. Ability to use CDI and Munters equipment. Additional Skills & Qualifications Knowledge of power distribution systems. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and hydraulic flow drawings. Why Work Here? Work Environment Work both indoors and outdoors in various conditions, within a 2-hour radius of the Enola area, including Lancaster, Reading, Harrisburg, and York. Enjoy a flexible 1st shift schedule, either from 7:00-4:00 or 8:00-5:00. One week per month requires on-call duty after hours, with additional compensation. A company vehicle and specialty tools are provided; however, you must have your own mechanic tool sets. Work is balanced between shop and field duties, ensuring you return home every night. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Enola, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr.
