Job Description

Overview We are seeking a skilled technician to join our team. This role is essential for upfitting and maintaining a variety of truck equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in truck equipment repair, upfitting, welding and a solid understanding of hydraulics and electrical systems. Responsibilities Perform upfitting of trucks and equipment to include installations such as lift gate, dump bodies, etc. Diagnose and repair mechanical components using schematics and technical manuals. Align, weld, and fabricate parts as necessary to ensure proper functionality. Troubleshoot electrical and hydraulic systems and perform necessary repairs or replacements. Utilize power tools safely and effectively in all repair tasks. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while adhering to safety protocols. Requirements Proven experience as a welder, upfitter or similar role in a fleet environment or equivalent program. Strong knowledge of hydraulics, electrical systems, and equipment repair techniques. Proficiency in reading schematics and technical diagrams. Ability to align, weld and fabricate, as necessary. Familiarity with various types of power tools used in mechanical repairs. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
