Job Title:
Mechanical Assembler Aerotek is hiring now for their best clients in the market. Grab this opportunity to work with one of our client for a Mechanical Assembler position with pay range started from $20/HR where you will get the room to grow and make your perfect career Job Description This role focuses on the mechanical assembly of specialized railroad repair equipment and machines. You will follow build sheets and blueprints to complete precise assemblies, use a variety of hand and power tools, and inspect and troubleshoot equipment to ensure it operates safely and reliably. Responsibilities Assemble mechanical components and systems for railroad repair equipment and machines according to build sheets and blueprints. Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine assembly requirements and sequence of operations. Use a variety of hand and power tools, including wrenches, sockets, and measuring tools, to complete assemblies accurately and safely. Secure components and subassemblies using appropriate fasteners and methods to meet quality and safety standards. Inspect completed assemblies to verify proper function, alignment, and adherence to specifications. Troubleshoot mechanical issues and malfunctions, identify root causes, and perform necessary adjustments or repairs. Work collaboratively in small teams of 1-4 people to complete assemblies efficiently and meet production goals. Handle and move parts and equipment, including lifting items up to 50 lbs consecutively as part of the assembly process. Maintain an organized work area, care for personal tools, and follow facility safety and housekeeping standards. Essential Skills At least 2 years of mechanical assembly or mechanic experience. At least 2 years of experience reading and interpreting blueprints. Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively in a manufacturing environment. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs consecutively as part of daily work. Capability to follow build sheets and technical instructions with strong attention to detail. Personal ownership and use of basic mechanical tools such as wrenches, sockets, and tape measures. Mechanical aptitude with strong problem-solving skills for troubleshooting equipment malfunctions. Ability to work effectively as part of a small team in a production setting. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience as a mechanical assembler or mechanic in an industrial or manufacturing environment. Working with railroad repair equipment or similar heavy machinery. Previous experience in environments using detailed build sheets and complex mechanical assemblies. Exposure to or experience with equipment similar to that produced by companies such as Putzmeister or Rexcon. Familiarity with climate-controlled manufacturing facilities and team-based assembly work. Why Work Here? You will regularly use hand and power tools and personal mechanical tools such as wrenches, sockets, and tape measures while working around heavy equipment and machinery. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $24.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
