Mechanical Assembly Technician

Job Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Mechanical Assembly Technician to join our dynamic manufacturing team. Responsibilities Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately assemble mechanical components. Use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers to perform assembly and fabrication tasks. Operate CNC machines, welding equipment, and machining tools to create or modify parts as specified in technical documents. Install electrical wiring, industrial equipment, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to ensure proper functionality of assembled systems. Conduct quality inspections using precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions and adherence to specifications. Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times. Collaborate with team members on fabrication projects, troubleshooting issues related to assembly or electrical wiring as needed. Qualifications Proven experience reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings in a manufacturing or industrial setting. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments. Familiarity with CNC machining, welding techniques, electrical wiring, and industrial equipment installation. Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics, and electrical systems used in manufacturing environments. Ability to operate forklifts and other industrial machinery safely; forklift certification is a plus. Basic understanding of manufacturing processes including fabrication, machining, and assembly of mechanical components. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail; ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
